In its honor, here is some more unseen footage from the filming of “Come Hell or High Water”. Shot at home in Santa Barbara, CA it features Trevor and Spencer Gordon and has a sneaker appearance by Ryan Lovelace.

San Francisco book signing is tonight!….Back in 2011 we were screening the film up and down the coast and Danny Hess put together a semi-spontaneous bodysurf contest at Ocean Beach the day following our S.F. screening. The torpedo people came out of the woodwork.

During the filming of “Come Hell or High Water” we were in Hawaii for the 2011 Pipeline Bodysurfing Classic. The venue served as a perfect opportunity to get some interviews with some of the most dedicated bodysurfers around. Here are a few frames I was able to capture between interviews.

“The Plight of the Torpedo People” book signing tour begins today at Patagonia Seattle. During each leg of the tour I thought I’d post a few photos I took during the filming of “Come Hell or High Water”.
During my three weeks of filming in Hawaii we only took one day off. That said, Keith and I had a ritual of first light or post sunset bodysurfs to keep our minds and bodies refreshed.
Our good friends just had a baby girl…Nothing necessitates film more than a newborn. Pentax MX, 50mm f/1.4, Ilford HP5
